We believe we teach God's children, made in His image. Since our beginning in 1957, our passion is to foster a love of learning, a love of our Lord Jesus Christ, and a love of His world and His ways in every student.
Our curriculum skillfully weaves His grace and truth into the artistic and practical disciplines of everyday academics. Students learn to follow His leading, to think creatively, and to work both independently and cooperatively with others through a robust and comprehensive program of language arts, math, science, social studies, and Bible, as well as Spanish, technology, music, choir, band, art, and physical education. Quarterly curriculum “maps” match the curriculum delivery of every core subject to students’ academic learning goals, month-by-month and unit-by-unit.
At Lamont, we celebrate diversity and seek to instill Jesus’ integrity, compassion, and confidence in each child. We support all students and encourage them to grow spiritually as well as academically, socially, and physically—after Jesus’ own heart. Our Christian Learning Center program offers both remediation and enrichment programs to target all students’ learning needs, and teachers seek to differentiate their instruction to address different individuals’ learning approaches.
An independent Christian school, we partner with Christian families and their churches. We seek to broaden and deepen every child’s Christian faith as we form a learning community of growing believers with a refreshing, reforming Christian point-of-view that emphasizes Jesus’ rule over all of learning and living.
We teach the vital and enduring truths of the Christian faith in an accessible and affirming way to stimulate a spirit of Christ-like community, school spirit, and fun. As important, we walk alongside every child, living out our faith as contributing members of a vibrant school community by gathering in “friendship groups,” assigning “kindergarten buddies,” arranging “family friends,” and promoting “family ambassadors.”
We love Lamont, and we welcome new families to join our cause. Catch our enthusiasm and vision.
