My name is Julie Molewyk and I am the kindergarten teacher here at Lamont Christian. I am thrilled to be in my seventh year at Lamont after staying home to raise my children and work as a substitute teacher. My family and I have been a part of the LCS family since 2012 and we are so thankful for the many ways that God has used the school to positively impact our family.
My husband Steve and I live in Marne with our four children. Our oldest three have graduated from Lamont. My son, Will is currently at boot camp with the Marines, and my two daughters, Ellie and Harper are attending Coopersville High School. Our youngest, Zane is in the sixth grade here at Lamont. I am a graduate of Cornerstone University with a BA in Elementary Education and a minor in Language Arts. I have had the privilege of attending Christian school throughout my education and understand the benefits of the individualized attention and discipleship that the students receive at Lamont. I have worked in both the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classrooms as a long term substitute prior to taking this position. There have been so many rewarding moments throughout that time, but nothing compares to a hug from one of these adorable kiddos! It is such an honor to be able to spend each day with your children, teaching them not only reading, math and science, but also about this incredible world that our loving savior has made for us.
In my spare time I love to read, do anything creative and travel. My favorite verse is Zephaniah 3:17 which says, "For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."
