Working on words is even more fun when you use shaving cream on your desk!
THE FLOOR IS LAVA!
Thank you veterans!
Wacky Wednesday was sure wacky with these wacky boys and girls!
Show and tell is fun but it's even better when you bring your pets!
Happy Reformation Day!
Black and white out!
Teamwork makes the dream work!
Back to college we go! The weather was looking a little threatening in the morning but we had a PERFECT day to go play some fun games.
Pastor Bob, Preston's grandpa, came to give us a mini lesson about his GIANT sunflower. We are supposed to spread the seeds of the gospel so they can keep growing and we need to be firmly rooted in the Word. We can stand tall and strong and BE BOLD!
We got to compete in a track and field day against the other Christian schools we play in sports. It was the PERFECT day for shot put, long jump, and various running events. There were several ribbons that came home with the kids!
Ms. Penny told us how she doesn't like monkeys because when she was in India, the monkeys stole their laundry off the clothesline and put their underwear on their head. Of course the kids thought this was hilarious. So what if monkeys came to your house, what would they steal?? These kids were hard at work writing and illustrating all sorts of things monkeys would steal! It was a perfect, engaging writing assignment!
We love show and tell in first grade! You can bring anything you want; even your sister!
We had the best day at Camp Roger. The leaders taught us all about hibernation, adaptation, migration, bogs, salamanders, leaves, carnivorous plants, and our favorite new word: sassafras. They loved roasting marshmallows and being outside all day. Some even needed a little snooze on the bus on the way home because all the fun tuckered them right out! We can't wait to go again someday!
Gavin Orchards in Coopersville let us come to visit their orchard and packing plant. We got to pick some delicious apples, see their HUGE refrigerators, and how the apples are packaged for shipping.
GVSU PE DAY We went to college! The GVSU students who want to be PE teachers in the future get to teach actual kids for a class period. The LCS kids loved it! The GVSU students come up with the coolest and best games!
Hot days in a school with no AC calls for popsicles!
BE BOLD! Meet the 2021-2022 first graders. They are ready to be bold for Jesus!
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
